How an Offaly Engineer Built a Better Way to Pick Up After Your Dog.
For me every idea starts with a simple frustration. I'm an engineer by nature and an animal lover at heart, I spent years walking my own dogs, through the same daily ritual every dog owner knows: the fumbling for bags, the warm uncomfortable mess that never quite feels manageable. I knew there had to be a better way. So I set out to build one.
What followed was several years of prototypes, setbacks, and quiet persistence. I approached the problem the way only an engineer could — testing, refining, starting again — driven not by a business plan, but by a genuine belief that this was a problem worth solving properly.
The result was Swoopet's patented, no-touch pooper scooper: a small design with an outsized ambition, to make cleaning up after our dogs simple, hygienic, and completely hassle-free.
Today, Swoopet is more than a product — it's my answer to a bigger question:
How do we make our world a little cleaner, one walk at a time?
From my home in Offaly, with Misty and Belle by my side every step of the way, I'm building Swoopet, grounded in a simple mission — cleaner streets, safer walks, and happier dogs, everywhere.
Because the smallest changes in our daily routines can add up to the biggest difference for our planet. That's the belief Swoopet was built on, and it's one I continue to walk — quite literally — every single day.
