It all started when walking my dogs in the local park, while mindful of being a responsible dog owner to always pick up my dog’s waste, I was faced with a few issues:

“Have I remembered to bring my dog poop bags on the walk? – or worse – I’ve forgotten to take them!”

Then, faced with the unpalatable feeling when picking up warm dog waste in a bag and finally having bagged the dog waste, I now have to carry it for the duration of the walk, or least until I find a waste bin the distance.

As an Engineer by profession, I started to think about innovative solutions to overcome the follow design problems: How do I design a pooper scooper device which is small, hand-held and truly portable? How can I remove dog poop from the most difficult surface, which is grass? How can I pick up multiple dog poops in one bag collection? With a combination of innovative ideas, research and development, the Swoopet 3-in-1 Poop Scoop, Bag Clip and Retractable Leash was developed, along with the alternative Leash Link Poop Scoop for short dog leash users.
